History of Copper
Copper could quite possibly have been the first metal put
into use by our ancestors. discovered in 8000 BC, its ability to be shaped and
deliberately detailed seemed to have medal it a "precious metal" almost instantaneously. Besides the countless practical uses, copper was widely sought
after for the creation of ornamental pieces and can be traced to the first coin
currencies of the world.
Copper has been linked to the most amazing civilizations the world has known.
Caesar and Augusta, both utilized this metal in their Roman money system. We find gifts to gods in Egyptian tombs made of gold, silver, and yes copper. In fact, in their hieroglyphics writings copper shared the same symbol with that
meaning "eternal life".
